“Greeting the Sun” and “A Song at Dawn”

I would like to thank those of you who came to the Rideau Lakes Studio Tour. I enjoyed talking with you in person. There were many people inquiring about the unfinished turtle painting I had with me on Sunday. I am happy to say it is finally finished along with my little Chickadee.

I have been busy this week preparing for my next show "Fantasy In The Forest" taking place on July 20th and 21st. I have a large black bird on my easel as we speak, hopefully to be finished in time. My costume is finished except for a few minor bits.

I look forward to seeing you at the next show.

A Song at Dawn is 11 by 14 acrylic on canvas.

Chickadees, with their black caps and their white cheeks, have such a friendly demeaner. The first to greet us in the forest and the last to say goodbye, they are a pleasant sight any time of day.

Greeting the Sun is 11 by 14 acrylic on canvas. This is not a pro photo of it, just a quick glimpse.

A happy little map turtle suns himself on a log. Turtles always seem to look happy to me. Stretching their long necks up as far as they will go, their smiling faces greet the morning sun.
