Hello Nature Lovers,
It's getting to that time again. I know too soon. How do we slow it down? Winter is just around the corner and I'm sure you are already being bombarded with merchandise advertising, Christmas music blaring in the shops, black Friday sales and Cyber Monday promos. It can be exhausting and overwhelming to say the least. I feel it too. This time of year for me is about working on commissions and creating. It is a much more tranquil time for me in the studio. I concentrate on smaller pieces that are priced with gift giving in mind. During the month of December, as Christmas catches up to us much quicker, I often get request for paintings as last minute gifts for loved ones that are really tough to buy for. For many a piece of art is a thoughtful gift and can be very special to receive. Although I no longer accept commissions of this size I do often paint things of my own interest. Above is a collection of 8 by 10s that I have available at the moment. Feel free to reach out to me if you are interested. Each of these paintings is $80. The cardinal is just off the easel and has not been posted on social media yet. It will not likely last long. I was told the other day by an artist friend of mine that I have become known for my cardinals. What a lovely compliment.
