It's a beautiful morning here in my new home. The birds are chirping, the mist is rising off of the water out front, and I feel blessed to be able to call this place home. We moved to just north of Arden in early September. Our new home faces the Salmon River near the end where it opens up into Kennebec Lake. The wildlife here is incredible, and I often feel like Snow White surrounded by all her woodland creatures. The chickadees will take food from my hands and the blue jays are seriously considering it. The abundance of animals and birds up here make it really hard to concentrate on my computer which is why I am a bit slow in putting this newsletter out.
There are exciting things happening at Martello Alley. October holds a month long show called Small World Squared, which features many talented artists work. I encourage you to come out and see for yourself all the beautiful paintings our artists have contributed to the show. I have been busy painting smalls for this show, and have 6 new pieces. If you are interested in a piece it can be purchased in person at the show, which I recommend, or on line at Martelloalley.com. I will be there in person on Thursdays from 10 to 5, so come on out, Check out the art, and have some great conversation.
